Cheese and Burger Society

Found this AMAZING website: www.cheeseandburger.com   It features "the inaugural 30 cheeseburgers" with recipes and full audio descriptions.  This website is so well done, so fun to view and the burgers look so dang tasty we nearly peed our pants!  The narrator's velvety voice is cause alone to visit this site.  Be sure to check out the "Cheeseburgers across America".  Happy July 4th!

Burger shakers

Took this photo while at someone's house in Cleveland who were obsessed with collecting a lot of knick-knacks and things from the 50's and 60's.  Can you find the burger salt and pepper shakers?  Dig the Canadian cream and sugar set!

Snapped this shot of this nifty sign while we were in Chicago.  The neon sign takes turns flashing first burgers then cocktails while the burger man clutches both a spatula and a cocktail glass.  Double your pleasure double your fun.

My brother went to Japan and sent this T-shirt back as a gift.  Hot Rods, burgers, Japan, AMAZING!  I wonder if they have sushi burgers?  I've seen sushi pizza on menus, so why not a sushi burger! I suppose it'd be pretty hard to eat...

Neon Burger

I would've killed for one of these in my bedroom growing up. 

We took this photo when walking around in New York last year. I like that they didn't feel the need to make some perfect burger, but the real greasy, dripping cheese type that we all know and love. "Smile, it's the second best thing you can do with your lips" !!  (the first is eating burgers of course!)

Steakhouse Burger at Ditka's in Chicago

We were in Chicago recently and stumbled into Ditka's after our early morning flight. Starved and weary, we were delighted to find their Steakhouse Burger, one of the best burgers we have ever had! I ate most of the fries before we took this picture because I was starving... and I don't like cold fries.

Listen, we will not be posting that many real food shots because this burger blog is really just for the love of burgers, and not food reviews. but this was a good burger. I mean, a REALLY good burger!!

Floor Burger

Burger in Sculpture

 Took this photo while walking around in New York.  The neon sign claims it is the best burger, and though we didn't get to try it, this double whammy sculpture sure caught our eye.  On our next trip we will be sure to swing by Paul's and giver a whirl.
 On a side note, this sculpture-sign was of particular interest because you don't often see two burgers skewered this way. It ignites the imagination...burger skewers, or maybe burger kabobs, or you can even pretend to be a giant while eating mini sliders on a stick. Anyway, here it is.

Hello and welcome to burger blog!
It's been a long time coming!  We first discussed the idea of the blog and pitched it to friends 2 or 3 years ago but never seemed to get around to it.  A fun look at everyones favourite sandwich - this is not a foodie list or something to be taken too SERIOUSLY, but rather a simple celebration for the love of the burger!
Back when we first had the idea we also had our very first BURGERFEST! (a few friends over for a back yard BBQ).  Here are a couple of pictures from this event.
